“If you do it with love, you’ll never go wrong” – My Mother and Mother-in-Law.
When I found out I was pregnant with my first child, most of my friends were already sending their kids off to primary school, high school, or even their first jobs. Some were diving into trades or higher education, and others? Well, they didn’t have kids and had zero plans to!
But thankfully, I made some new friends along the way (hello, mum tribe!), and boy, did I learn a lot! From hilarious stories (the good, the bad, and the downright chaotic) to unexpected tips and tricks I never thought I’d need—suddenly, my world was full of knowledge I didn’t even know I was missing.
So, here’s the rundown of what I’ve learned from raising my wonderfully wild boys (without them, I’d be pretty short on stories!) and, of course, from their grandmothers—because let’s face it, without them, I’d still be Googling half of the solutions I need!
