Delicious No-Bake Snowballs
That your kids won’t throw!
These delicious Snowballs have been a family favourite at our birthday parties ever since I can remember. It was the only time Mum made them. But now I’m the mum, and luckily for my kids, I can make them whenever I want to!
They don’t take long, cheap and easy to make and, if you don’t mind a little extra mess, they’re great to make with the kids.
I keep them in a container in the fridge and pop a few in a container and take them with us when we go to the park or for a swim, or just bring them out for a little snack.
Tips:
- I run my hands under cold water before and in between rolling the balls, otherwise it gets very sticky, very quickly.
- If the kids help me, I keep a bowl of cold water for them to dip their hands into when rolling balls.
Ingredients:
1 packet of Marie or Arrowroot biscuits
395g sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 cups of dessicated (or shredded) coconut
Method:
- Blend the biscuits to a fine crumb.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa and 3/4 cup of coconut.
- Place remaining coconut onto a plate / tray / container.
- Mix together until well combined.
- Using damp hands, roll a teaspoon of mixture into a ball.
- Coat ball in remaining coconut.
- Put on a plate and refrigerate for approximately 10 – 15 minutes.
